    AAST e-Learning and MOC NOW ONLINE

    AAST is now providing online CME for JOT articles and archived Grand Rounds.  Soon to come are also archived Annual Meeting sessions and topic specific webinars.  AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM are available to Physicians only.  By the second half of the year nurses and non-physicians will also be able to claim credit.  If you are an AAST member these courses are all included in your membership fee.  If you are not currently an AAST member a nominal fee will apply after you create a web account.     71st Annual Meeting of AAST and Clinical Congress of Acute Care Surgery Abstract System Open!

    The abstract system is now open.  AAST has a new abstract company so please allow extra time to learn the new system.  An instructional guide has been created and can be found in the abstract section of the AAST website.  All abstracts must be submitted by March 1, 2012 at 11:59 pm.  Contact Sarah Cohen, Sharon Gautschy or (312) 202-5252 if you have any problems with submissions. 

    AAST Research & Education Scholarship

    The AAST and the AAST Research and Education Foundation offer research scholarships in trauma and surgical critical care for the support of post-residency research by surgeons with a major commitment to a career in trauma surgery. The deadline is February 1, 2012. For more information, visit the scholarship section within the Foundation tab.
